 Happy Meal Shrek Toys
McDonald`s 'Shrek (the Third)' line of Happy Meal Toys is made up of 10 figures in all. This toy line was used to promote healthier eating for kids and was only included in Happy Meals which contained chicken McNuggets, apple dippers, and milk. Each figure had a switch locate don its back which could be flipped to make it say a popular catchphrase from the movie.
The biggest figure was the Shrek toy and Fiona was the second biggest. The Shrek figure was designed to say either 'I'm and ogre', 'Oh Boy' or let out a big belch. All of the figures were poseable with moveable arms. The Fiona figure had a cheerful female voice and would say either 'yes', 'hi honey', or 'you got to be kidding me'. The sound effects were triggered when you moved Fiona`s left arm.
Another figure was the standing Baby Ogre which wore a diaper and could make cooing and burping noises as well as talk in baby gibberish. Donkey Dragon`s figure would roar happily, and say 'Daddy' when you squeezed his wings together. The Confectionery Ginggy figure would say 'Goodbye' or 'No more gumdrops, Artie'. The Artie figure said 'I don't know anything about being king' when you moved his left arm. When you moved his arm a second time he would make a sword clashing sound.
The Puss & Boots figure said things like 'Fear Me, I Dare' when you moved his arm once, and 'I got to go' when you moved his arm again. The Donkey figure said 'Shrek', 'Peek-a-boo', and 'are we there yet'. His sound effects were triggered when you pushed on his tail.
